VLOG DAY 9
DAY 8
Hey Mom and Dad
Today was really fun we were in class all day learning about different injuries and how to treat them. Now if someone falls or gets cut I know how to stop the bleeding and stabilize the wound. It’s a very comforting feeling to know that I have these skills to take the home with me. We also learnt about diabetes and how to treat someone who’s blood sugar is too high or too low. We pricked each other with glucometers in order to find each others glucose levels, which was really cool. after that we went to sderot a town down south where we heard about what the people living there go through on a daily basis. These people are heros, that are bravely protecting the land to make sure it stays in our hands. these people endure balloon bombs, kite bombs, missiles and more on a daily basis but they stay for us, its really amazing to see. After that we planted some really pretty flowers in order to beautify Sderot because it gets ruined from the missiles, and met a group of teens who live there and tried to raise their spirits and show them that even though we are back in America we are still standing with them. After that we went shopping in Sderot to help their economy ofcourse š and back to the hotel!!

VLOG DAY 7
DAY 7
Hey Mom and Dad,
Israel is amazing, I didnāt think I would like the learning in a classroom portion of the trip but itās really fun. Our advisors make it super entertaining and we get yummy treats here and there.Ā Today we learned how to treat heart attacks, we learned the heimlich, and how to treat seizures. Ari, our instructor used this interesting device on our advisor to show us a simulated situation of the heimlich, it was so cool!!! I feel so happy that I have the ability to save people, god forbid if anything happens I will be prepared. After class we went to Ben Yehudah street and I got ice cream and a personalized tzahal sweatshirt and for dinner they brought us to burgers bar, which let me tell you are the best burgers in Israel. Canāt wait to go on the hikes and actually ride in an ambulance. Theres only two more days left to class, Iām ready to graduate.
More tomorrow,Ā

DAY 6
Hi Mom and Dad,Ā
Today was day 6 of the best. summer. ever. We started off the day by joining together for an amazing davening together. We then went to Hatzalah headquarters for training. We learnt how to perform CPR on children and infants. We also learnt how to treat a choking patient. Everyone had a lot of fun practicing on dummies and learning from one another. After a great day of class we went to one of the three trampoline parks in all of Israel, called Ijump. There, we jumped, played trampoline dodgeball and had fun bouncing with friends. Each person was able to show off their talent in one way or another either on the trampoline or not. Following Ijump we went to Air Caffe for dinner. We ate outside all together looking at the beautiful sunset with a delicious dinner. We then finished off the night with maariv which we davened next to a beautiful fountain!

VLOG DAY 5
DAY 4
Ā Hi Mommy and Daddy, Shabbos Shacharis started early in the morning (as usual), and we had a very meaningful davening, with mussaf led by Yonatan, along with Birkat Kohanim from the Berners and yours truly. After davening, we got to hear stories from Hatzalah volunteers who joined us for Shabbos, and we learned that candy makes and excellent pacifier. We also spoke about what it means to work for Hatzalah first hand from these volunteers which was inspirational. We sang and danced at Shabbos lunch, and played long card games with Joshy-following in the afternoon were pretty fun. I especially enjoyed āAsk the Rabbiā with Rabbi Leshak, not only for the jokes and stories, but for the deep questions people asked too. During the afternoon, we split up into small group discussions with our advisors. My group only got through one card from the āmoral dilemmasā deck because we were so involved in the conversation and discussion. We davened mincha, after which we sang Shabbos away with TJJ Ambassadors and heard an inspiring speach from Rabbi Leshak again. Havdalah felt too soon because shabbos had been so amazing. After shabbos we went to Emek Refaim, where we hung out and got Pizza Hut. some of us walked around and got ice cream or went shopping at the makolet and then we returned to the hotel and got some sleep. More tomorrow, love Eli Rubin
